The Farmer’s Market started in 1934 in the heart of the great depression, when Los Angeles County was the top producing agricultural county in the nation. Local Farmers needed a place to sell their produce and the Farmer’s Market was born. The Market has grown as the city has grown and is long known to a favorite of local celebrities and Hollywood elite. Back in the Day, you might have seen Elvis picking out produce while Johnny Carson and Mae West were having lunch. Today, there are a wide range of vendor, with everything from produce stands, bakeries, restaurants, and more. Some favorites include Du-pars. the famous diner open 24/7 with the best pancakes in LA! Pampas Grill is a true Brazilian Churrascaria where the gauchos will slice perfectly cooked meat right in front of you. If you are looking to make your own culinary creation, the Farmer’s Market has two butchers, a fish monger, spice shop, and multiple produce vendors -it is a culinary wonderland!
